Vietnam Wall Arrives in Sidney
Oct 19th, 2006 by Lee
Keith Goins and Robert Huston have an onsite discussion at Custenborder Field in Sidney as preparations are made for the traveling wall’s arrival.
This morning a large tent was setup and a ceremonial stage built.
Tomorrow morning will be busy as volunteers assemble the 4/5 scale replica of the Vietnam Memorial wall. The wall should be ready for viewing by noon tomorrow.
The wall and motorcycle escort entered town passing under the Big four railroad bridge on the south side of Sidney.
The truck and biker escorts were greeted by flag waving supporters all along the route.
The caravan ended at the Sidney VFW where a public dinner and refreshments were served.
